Napoljonska – Breakfast heaven in Berlin Mitte

Napoljonska is one of my favourite breakfast spots in Berlin and I have been wanting to write about it since a while. I discovered Napoljonska because my friend Bea told me such good things about it. When I first tried it, I was really freaking out about the breakfast! Bea was totally right.

Napoljonska serves delicious, homemade, vegetarian breakfasts. Everything is fresh, tasty and made with a lot of love. You can really feel the difference in the little details that you would never find in an ordinary cafe.

I could even convince my husband (yes, I got married btw ;)) to give it a try. He wouldn’t go to a vegetarian place normally since he is a true meat lover (Argentinian – what can I say!). And surprise, he really loved it too!

Napoljonska is also a great choice to take visitors for breakfast. You can be sure to impress them ;)! I have just been there last weekend with my 3 friends from Cologne that visited me for the weekend. 2 of them are vegetarian and were amazed about the creativity and the quality of the dishes.

Napoljonska (Website) is located in Berlin Mitte on bustling Kastanienallee surrounded by lots of restaurants, cafes and lovely shops. In summer you can sit in the sun in front of the cafe. Inside Napoljonska is a pretty “pink lady” with walls painted in pink, pastel-colored adorable lamps and lots of flowers and fruits (yes fruits are also used as decoration here).

My favourite breakfast is the “Sweet Breakfast” that is served with all kind of fruits, nuts, toast, bread and a croissant, a greek yoghurt with honey & nuts, homemade nougat cream (love it!) and my personal highlight the 2 homemade jams (apricot-lavender and raspberry-vanilla). The jams are fantastic and it’s a pitty that it’s not possible to buy them (I would be frequent customer). Dear team of Napoljonska: If you ever read this, please reconsider to sell your jams!

My second favourite breakfast is the “Cheese Breakfast” with a delicious selection of organic (and even pasteurised!) cheeses. The Manchego and the hay flower cheese are fantastic and very aromatic. I also very much like the homemade tomato spread. The cheese breakie is accompanied by various wholemeal breads and an organic egg.

Each of the breakfasts is huge, so don’t order too much (I did that mistake already and it’s a shame not to be able to finish!). You can easily share 2 breakfasts between 3 or even 4 people if you are not that hungry.
